I've been baby-sitting since I took the Red Cross baby-sitting class at age eleven. But even before that, I understood the importance of security in a young child's life. My mother cared for several children over the years, and she always gave each child 100%. Now that I'm a mother of twins, I know how important it is that every child receive individual attention and love, and I want to offer that to my clients and their children.

My own children are two, and as such, I've experienced the joys and tribulations of infant care. When I lived in San Angelo, TX, I regularly watched several children, ages two to five, and it was so fun to watch them grow and learn, to see them accomplish things for the first time, and to share these discoveries with the parents in a partnership of instruction and mentoring.

I run day care out of my home and offer age-appropriate activities, songs, read-alouds, and healthful snacks, and can provide weekly meal plans and alternatives for children with allergies. We live near Montavilla Park and will utilize the playground and pool when available, but only with permission from the parents. I believe in natural punishment and positive parenting, and will work with parents to negotiate a fair and common disciplinary program for children to give them the boundaries they need to thrive in the future.
